ACTIVATOR METHOD

We are trained to the highest standards to use the most scientific and popular “low force” chiropractic

technique in the world, the Activator Method. This well researched technique tells us what areas of your body should be adjusted and equally as important the diagnostic technique indicates where not to treat. The Activator Method adjusting instrument is a hand held, spring-loaded tool that delivers a consistent low-force thrust. Because it is many times faster than adjustments delivered by hand,

the body rarely tightens to resist, making adjustments comfortable and effective. It is also very efficient and

precise to adjust elbows, wrists, knees and other joints in the body.

DIVERSIFIED METHOD

At Queen Street Chiropractic, Dr. Houde-Shulman and Dr. Shulman

use adjusting styles, commonly referred to as "Diversified"/ Manual

technique and "Activator Method". A tailor made treatment plan will be designed using a variety of options from strictly hands on to the use of a mechanically assisted adjusting device. We will chose the one that is right for you and that you are most comfortable with.Chiropractic adjustment or manipulation is drug-free, non-invasive approach to common musculoskeletal

conditions such as headache, neck and back pain. The adjustment is a hands-on manual procedure that utilizes the highly refined skills developed during four intensive years of chiropractic education and continuing education every

year there after. When using the “diversified”/manual technique, the chiropractor uses his/her hands to manipulate the

joints of the body,

particularly the spine, in order to reduce pain, and restore or enhance joint functioning. A chiropractic adjustment is a highly controlled procedure that rarely causes discomfort. As such, it is a low risk therapy. The chiropractor always adapts and individualizes the treatment to meet the specific needs of each patient. Patients often note positive changes in their symptoms immediately following treatment.
